A Metro Mass bus that departed from Kaneshie caught fire on its way to Obuasi-Dunkwa. Passengers were able to escape after noticing smoke coming from the luggage compartment. Surprisingly, they found acid and several parcels of marijuana packed in the compartment.

Fire service personnel and the police who arrived at the scene managed to control the situation, and the marijuana parcels have been confiscated by the police. The driver of the Metro Mass bus has not been able to provide a clear reason as to why parcels of marijuana were packed in the government public bus.
