Kadevi Selasy, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Officer for the Awutu Senya West Constituency, was found dead on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in Nkwadum, a suburb of Awutu Bontrase in the Central Region.

Reports from Accra-based Kasapa News indicate that Selasy’s body was discovered hanging. Earlier that day, he had asked his wife to join him outside, but after initially obliging, she declined his request the second time. When he didn’t return after some time, his wife went looking for him and found him dead.

The body has been moved to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital Mortuary for autopsy and preservation. Meanwhile, the police have begun an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to his death.
