A prison officer identified as Gideon Adu Boakye, stationed at the Nsawam Prisons, was lynched at Kasoa Iron City at night when the lights were off in the area.
According to some residents, they heard the officer being beaten by several individuals while he shouted, pleading for his life, stating that he was not a thief but rather a prison officer.
