A former player for Sekondi Hasaacas FC, Kwabena Baidoo has tragically passed away in a motor accident while celebrating the victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ghana’s 2024 general elections.

The incident occurred on Monday, December 9, in the Ellembelle District. According to reports, Baidoo was jubilating when the accident claimed his life.

His brother, Emmanuel Quarm, confirmed the heartbreaking news, describing it as a devastating loss for the family.

Meanwhile, Sekondi Hasaacas FC has yet to officially comment on Baidoo’s passing.

NDC supporters across the country erupted in celebration after New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia conceded defeat to NDC’s John Dramani Mahama.

Mahama secured 6,328,397 votes, representing 56.55% of the total valid votes cast, to Bawumia’s 4,657,304 votes, or 41.61%, in the polls.
