Man Nabbed By Police After Trying To Sell His Niece For Travelling Expenses

The Kosoa Police Intelligence Unit has arrested Nana Kofi Amofah, a 43-year-old father of three, for attempting to sell his 6-year-old niece for GHS150,000 to secure a Canadian VISA.

Kofi Amofah convinced his brother in Akyem Ayirebi to allow him to take his child to the city for better education, but his sole intention was to sell the child.

Fortunately, a man close to Amofah learned about his intentions and reported him to the Kasoa Police. The police set up an undercover team, disguising themselves as people interested in buying the child, which led to his arrest.

Here is the conversation between the undercover police officers and Kofi Amofah, bargaining on the price of the child before arresting him.
