Within a month and two weeks, 22 people have been reported dead in Akyem Osenase in the Eastern Region after consuming stolen pregnant goats.

As per reports from Nkawkaw-based radio station Agoo FM, two individuals whose goats were stolen resorted to invoking curses. One individual, upon finding his goat cut into two with a part missing, buried the remains and invoked curses. The other person, upon discovering his missing goat, promptly sought out a shrine in the Volta Region to invoke curses.

The perpetrators allegedly sold the goats to a local drinking bar, where many people consumed the meat leading to the deaths of 22 people in less than two months.
